Why Cashmere is Perfect for Late-Summer Beach Getaways

There’s something so lovely about the beach at the end of summer.

The days are still warm, the sea is still calling, but there’s that little hint of autumn in the air. The evenings are cooler, the beach is quieter and everything feels just a little bit slower.

And for us, this is where cashmere comes in.

The perfect beach bag essential

A cashmere jumper might not be the first thing you think of when packing for the beach, but it’s one of those things you’ll be so glad you brought.

Thrown over little shoulders in the morning, wrapped around them when the sea breeze picks up, or kept close for the journey home, it’s the perfect little extra layer.

And being lightweight, it doesn’t take up much room in your beach bag either.

For those cooler moments

There’s always that moment by the sea when the sun disappears and suddenly it feels a little chilly.

Little ones can go from running barefoot through the sand to wanting something warm to cuddle into in a matter of minutes.

A soft cashmere jumper is perfect for those in-between moments.

From the beach to dinner

We love how easily cashmere works beyond the beach, too.

Throw it over a little summer dress, pair it with shorts or pop it over their favourite outfit for dinner by the sea.

It feels special without feeling too dressed up, just simple, beautiful and comfortable.

And then there are the memories

Late-summer beach trips are some of our favourite childhood memories.

Sandy toes. Windblown hair. Ice creams after dinner. Staying out just a little later because the sun is still shining.

We love the idea of a personalised cashmere jumper being part of those memories.

A little name embroidered onto something soft and beautiful makes it feel even more special, something that’s completely theirs.

A little bit of summer, with a hint of autumn

Perhaps that’s why we love this time of year so much.

You can still have bare feet in the sand, but there’s a jumper waiting for when the sun goes down.

It’s summer, just with a little bit of autumn around the corner.
